April Kuan I’ve always been a big music fan and in 1994, just straight out of school, I landed my first job as a radio DJ at Best 104 (in Johor Bahru). It was my first taste of radio life…and I was hooked! I moved to KL in 1998 and immersed myself in the world of music, clubbing and concerts through my work with a record company, two major clubs and two music magazines. I co-hosted a radio show for TONE magazine on WoWFM and was also part of the pioneering team of jocks at Capital FM when it launched in 2011. I left the industry in 2015 after Capital FM ceased operations. At the time, I had already been in love with yoga and a yoga practitioner for six years. Today, I teach yoga and help others heal through sound therapy using Tibetan singing bowls––what can I say, music is still in my soul! I love doing commercials and voicing characters whenever I get the chance, so please feel free to book me! :D I’m usually commissioned to be the lively, happy voice for commercials, although now that I’m older I prefer tapping into my demure side. I can also bring out my inner “JB Lien” when the need calls for it.. ;) As for character acting, I tend to be the voice behind young boys due to my slightly husky tone.

Lau Chak Onn ---- Additional samples via my YouTube channel---- Having been in the industry since 2005, Chak is somehow still used for young, warm, friendly ads that need an assured and familiar voice. However, he's also adapt at doing a wide range of characters and accents, with many clients taking on his voice to project a younger image for their brands. You might have heard him as the voice of Brickfields Asia College (Hey that's my first day!), AirAsia Santan commercials, and pretty much every telco or fast food chain in town. He's also done dubbing for a wide range of characters in BM and English for animations, video games and children's programs. His claim to fame is as CHIP, the brown lump that represents the CHIPSMORE brand to kids everywhere! He's also recorded the voice of a cowboy in the BM version of Xiaolin Showdown, and a few video game characters that he kinda forgot what the NDA conditions were.
