April Kuan I’ve always been a big music fan and in 1994, just straight out of school, I landed my first job as a radio DJ at Best 104 (in Johor Bahru). It was my first taste of radio life…and I was hooked! I moved to KL in 1998 and immersed myself in the world of music, clubbing and concerts through my work with a record company, two major clubs and two music magazines. I co-hosted a radio show for TONE magazine on WoWFM and was also part of the pioneering team of jocks at Capital FM when it launched in 2011. I left the industry in 2015 after Capital FM ceased operations. At the time, I had already been in love with yoga and a yoga practitioner for six years. Today, I teach yoga and help others heal through sound therapy using Tibetan singing bowls––what can I say, music is still in my soul! I love doing commercials and voicing characters whenever I get the chance, so please feel free to book me! :D I’m usually commissioned to be the lively, happy voice for commercials, although now that I’m older I prefer tapping into my demure side. I can also bring out my inner “JB Lien” when the need calls for it.. ;) As for character acting, I tend to be the voice behind young boys due to my slightly husky tone.
